Happy Pet, Happy Owner

Our main purpose is to have happy dogs and happy owners. For this to be able to happen , owners should show trust and respect to us and also be able to follow simple instructions!
When using our dog training or dog hotel facility, the dog should always be followed by his health booklet signed and stamped by a veterinarian, and his dog dry/wet or barf food. Human food is not dog food and no dog will be fed human food during his stay with us.

Health Requirements

All dogs that will use any of our services, has to be healthy , and recently vet checked by a professional veterinarian. For a dog to be able to use our dog hotel or dog training facility , they have to be vaccinated up to date, dewormed and took a flea and tick medication recently. Lastly, we require the dogs to be covered by the Kennel Cough Vaccine at minimum of 10 days before visiting us. Puppies younger than 3 months old are not allowed to use any of our services or puppies that haven't got all 3 shots in the first year of their life.

Basic Obedience

In basic obedience we mostly focus to built a strong relationship between dog and owner. It is very important for the owner to understand the needs of his dog and how it will be possible to meet them. We try to educate the owner as much as possible for his dog and give as many details as we can. During that time, we also teach the dog some basic commands as:
- sit
-down
-stay
-here
-heel
-let's go
-place
-relax
These are the most common and most useful commands for us. Dogs will be so much happier and easier to handle after training, but never forget that it is the owner's job to keep the dog in good condition and to keep practicing correctly these commands as we showed him. Dogs are smart- selfish animals and if they know they can do as they please, then they will try it (and most times succeed)! So please keep in mind that after finishing one of our programs , it is your job and responsibility to keep the dog in good shape!!

Puppy Training

In puppy training , dogs only at the age of 3-6 months can participate. We try to teach the puppies good manners and also try to expose them to as many sounds, smells, textures , animals and people as possible. In that small amount of time, the puppies' experiences will make a huge impact for the rest of their lives. The good or bad experience they may have with (for example) another dog will follow them forever. If a dog attacks them, they may be scared of dogs forever. So we teach the owners how to introduce the puppies to new things, how to handle certain situations and at the same time we also introduce to the puppies the basic commands.

IGP-BH/VT

IGP - BH/VT are working trials that usually happen twice a year in Cyprus. It is a specific program for all dogs. The dog need to be fully under control and at the same time show to the judge and the others that he enjoys what he is doing and he is fully focused on his handler. Usually, this program may take from 3 months to 6 months of training depending of the dog's skills and also when the trials will take place.
Bh/VT is a companion trial. It shows that you have the control of the dog under distractions with or without a leash. The dog's temperament is also tested !
IGP is split in 3 different phases:
-Tracking
-Obedience
-Protection
Tracking is when the dog searches for human steps in a field and locates some specific articles that we previously left there.
Obedience is when the dog has to show that he is fully under control with his focus only to his handler
Protection is when the dog has to find and stop the helper-''bad guy'' with the commands of his handler again. The dog has to have a good grip , fast changes between drives during the trial and show how dominant he is.

PPD-Guard Dog

PPD- personal protection dog is ,as it's name says, a dog that protects a person. So in this program , the dog has to be super suspicious of other people except his handler. The dog has to be 100% under control from his owner and has a very balanced temperament. Only after command the dog is allowed to bite or release the ''bad guy'' . The dog will act on its own only if the ''bad guy'' try to harm the handler. Dogs that can participate in this program has to be at least 2 years old and also pass one of our temperament tests.

Resolve of Problematic Behavior

Fear aggression , aggression, resource guarding-food aggression , insecurities ,separation anxiety , chewing ,inappropriate elimination (peeing-pooping in the house) , begging , reactivity , jumping, mouthing. All of these can be solved with good consultation , good management of your time with your dog and of course patience to teach them what you need from them to do , instead of what you do not want them to do! All of these, are products of our behavior towards our dogs and how WE ,as owners, behave and communicate with them. Once we change OUR behavior , the dog will stop doing what he was doing in the past or at least it will reduce . Of course , this will take LOTS of time and a lot of practice between the members of the family and the dog, but it is so worth it and rewarding when you see your dog changing and behaving so much better !!

Dog show -Conformation preparation

Preparing dogs and puppies for their dog show trials is always so fun for owners, dogs and also dog trainers!! It is a great way to bond with your dog! Usually we start our preparation a month before the trials!! More details are always given during lessons and before the trials!! We only show good quality of dogs and dogs that have a good prospect to win a title in the ring!! We do not support the breeding of off standard dogs or dogs with unbalanced temperament, so we are not willing to show dogs that fit in one of those categories!

Dog Hotel

Dogs deserve holidays too!!

I always wondered what dogs do on their day off. They can't sleep all day, this is their job!

In our dog hotel facility, we offer your dog a place to have fun , rest , socialize and also make some new friends!! With the amazing price of 10 euro per night , your dog stays right outside of our house's door. The kennels are made with sandwich panel, a material that keeps the heat out in the Summer and the cold out in the Winter! The dog gets to go out for potty four times a time and also playtime twice a day , in our special ,fenced area!!

The only thing we ask you to do is bring your dog's food with him and give us specific details of what he eats and how much! You also have to close an appointment time so you can bring your dog! Never forget, other dogs are also here and some are sensitive or in a very strict program! We cannot get out of program ,since we always want what is best for your babies!!

Our breeding program!

Registered breeders at the Cyprus Kennel Club under the names Commandog Center and Das Rudel Des Konigs our breeding program has only very recently started. We never over breed our bitches, and our only purpose of each breeding is to get healthy and good temperament puppies with as correct as possible conformation standards. We do not always have puppies, since we are very careful with whom dogs our dogs are breeding with, so if you are interested in getting a puppy at a point, you will have to fill one of our forms, do an interview with one of us , and only if those goes well , you will be placed in our waiting list for a puppy.
We are only breeding our working dogs, so what is most important for us is to produce good characters of puppies, highly intelligent and easily trainable.
All dogs that are in our breeding program are health tested as required by the breed standards, and has at least 1 working title in their booklets , We make sure to breed only the best dogs we own with an appropriate pair.
Having a puppy from us is like owning a piece of our hearts, so we make sure that our puppies will find the best homes possible for them that will give them the life they deserve. So if you are interested in one of our puppies, understand that you will have to answer multiple questions, so we can make sure the puppy will be a good fit into your home!
